4TH, 5TH & 6TH GRADE ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD DAYS

Environmental Field Days, celebrating its 50th Anniversary (1967-2017), gives 5th and 6th grade students the opportunity to learn about various natural resources and environmental subjects in an outdoor setting.  Classes rotate throughout the park to visit 25-30 learning stations where they participate in 15-minute presentations. Stations are taught by various agencies, sportsmen, and hobbyists. The beautiful surroundings are a perfect place for students to study appreciation for and protection of the things around them.  This free event is held at Victor Fitchlee Royalton Ravine Conservation Education Park in Gasport each June.  It was awarded the U.S.E.P.A. Region 2 Environmental Quality Award in 2001 for excellence in education
